First Impressions of Pacifica Skin Revival Micro Dermabrasion Scrub

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
Happy Saturday! I hope everyone has been having a great week. I don't review too many skincare products for some reason, but I am going to change that. Today I have a new-ish product from Pacifica. Pacifica recently launched a bunch of skincare items and I was in need of a new scrub. I had been using deluxe samples of Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate but I didn't want to spend so much money on the full size.

So I ordered this one from Ulta and I had high hopes. Unfortunately, it leaves me feeling a little "meh" so far.
What Pacifica says: "Revive, brighten, and make aging insignificant in your future as you gently scrub dullness away. This effective yet gentle formula with natural botanicals improves the appearance of fine lines and texture."
It certainly is gentle. It might even be too gentle. I have used it quite a few times and I have noticed absolutely no difference in my skin. It isn't any smoother and I just haven't noticed any changes. I will say that it hasn't negatively impacted my skin, either. It isn't abrasive at all and the granules are so gentle that it just feels like I am using a milky cleanser. For my skin type, it doesn't work. If you have ultra sensitive skin and cannot use a lot of exfoliants, this might be worth trying out. I do like the ingredient list. There isn't anything weird or funky in it, which is always a great thing.

The main ingredients are jasmine flower, geranium, and red rice extract. Jasmine flower is supposed to provide hydration while also offering clarifying benefits. Geranium apparently has a lot of benefits ranging from hydration to clearing acne and it even has anti-aging benefits. Red rice helps promote cell turnover. This scrub does have some good ingredients, so maybe I just need to use it a bit more.
It is vegan, cruelty free, and it does not contain petroleum, paragons, or phthalates.
I'll post a pic of the full ingredient list below.

The scent is very light and pleasant. It almost reminds me of Ponds cold cream, but not as strong.
This product is $18 for 1.5 oz and proceeds support clean water, so your money does go towards a good cause. I do feel like you could go through it quickly if you use it on a regular basis.

I haven't noticed any improvements in my skin, but I am going to keep using this since it hasn't harmed my skin, either. Maybe by the end it will show some promise, but right now I wouldn't repurchase it. I do recommend it to anyone that has extremely sensitive skin and hasn't had good luck with other exfoliants. This could work very well for you.
