Known for their variety, the final soundtrack for the Twilight Saga showcases up and coming talent alongside seasoned pros.

Though the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 hit theaters last weekend, the film’s soundtrack has been available since Nov. 13.

As the final installment in the film’s musical journey, fans had high expectations for the soundtrack. While the album failed to recreate the enchanting sound of the original Twilight soundtrack, a few captivating gems are interwoven throughout.

Ellie Goulding’s “Bittersweet” is the second track, airing only during the film’s ending credits.

Vibrantly eloquent, “Bittersweet” arguably depicts the love triangle that has finally come to a close: “see the panic in my eyes/ kiss me only when I cry/ ‘cause you always want what you’re running from/ and you know this is more than you can take.”

Feist’s “Fire in the Water” sets the scene for Edward and Bella’s cottage getaway.

A slow melody tentatively builds to a crescendo alongside admitted passion: “fire in the water/ is the body of our love/ nobody should see this/ the freeness of the light.”

James Vincent McMorrow’s “Ghosts” is Bella’s realization that her family may die at the Volturi’s hand.

A subtly entrancing tune is intertwined with eerily repetitive lyrics: “we are ghosts/ we are ghosts amongst these hills/ from the trees around and green/ to the ground beneath our feet/ we are ghosts.”

Produced by Alexandra Patsavas, the music director for the previous three films, the standard album contains 14 songs. You can download it on iTunes.
