Starting the year off on a high, Brighton five-piece Fickle Friends have just released their new single “Swim”, a delightful electro-pop track that’s filled with all the good parts of 80s new-wave. Similar to one of our favorites, Summer Camp, in terms of shiny synth-pop goodness — Fickle Friends also hail from England and lead singer Natti Shine’s silky vocals are reminiscent of Elizabeth Sankeys’ in the best possible way. Bright and warming, “Swim” lets us shake off the winter blues for some springtime daydreaming. Overall, despite the cold weather today, we’re still very much up for this kind of ‘swim’.
