Feminine Blazers for Work and Weekend

By Bridgetteraes @BridgetteRaes

Feminine Blazers for Work and WeekendYou really have to love feminine blazers for their abilities to add polish to work looks and to create a more tailored appearance. Grab your favorite dress and add a separate blazer to create a suited look or that basic tailored pants and top and slip a jacket over it to look a lot more professional. However, that is not all you can do with your feminine blazers, you can also use them on the weekends. Not doing this? Check out the three blazers below and how I took them from professional to laid back.

Starting with this navy and white printed blazer from Boden, it can be treated like a navy solid jacket and worn to work in a variety of ways. On the left, I styled it over a basic, coral sheath dress from J. Crew. I finished the look professionally with a pair of beige heels from Adrienne Vittadinni and a pair of coral and navy earrings from Max & Chloe.

On the right, the same blazer is used as a pop for a business casual or weekend look with a pair of burgundy jeans from Mango, a white sleeveless top, navy flats from Modcloth and gold pendant from Bauble Bar.

Boucle jackets are great separate blazers that give off a feminine vibe and can be just as versatile as solid colored styles. Like the printed blazer in the first look, this navy and white boucle can be treated like a solid color and styled with other colors and even prints.

On the left, I kept the outfit more understated styling this Rebecca Taylor blazer with a navy pencil skirt from Reiss and bodysuit blouse from Tuxe. To accessorize, I added a long silver necklace from Banana Republic, and, for a splash of color, the look is finished with a pair of burgundy pumps from Ivanka Trump.

On the right, the same blazer is used in a much more casual manner. I styled it with a printed blouse from Modcloth, Lucky Brand boyfriend jeans, Anthropologie wedges in soft blue and pink drop earrings from ABS.

This feminine blazer from Zara can easily go from work to weekend as well. On the left, I pulled the coral from the stripe of the blazer and added this sleeveless top that works perfectly with these ankle pants in navy from Theory. To finish the outfit I used these two color pumps from French Connection and chunky, blue necklace.

On the right, to make the blazer more casual, I chose weekend pieces. With khaki skinny jeans from Boden, a blue tank from LOFT, flat ankle strap shoes from Yosi Samra and natural, chunky beaded necklace, you'd never know that this blazer spent some time at work.
