Fashionably Colorful : Heathers (1988)

It’s that time of the month, time to highlight some fashion in movies. I’ll be expecting a hectic week ahead, as it’s a celebration of Ied Fitri here. Means I have lots of home errands and family visits, but at the same time it’s still a celebration Not a lot of movies impressed me on fashion state, but then again I don’t watch movies too much lately. But as I reviewed Heathers (1988) couple of months ago, I actually thinking to highlight their fashion.

For some of you who aren’t familiar with Heathers, it’s a teenage movie about four popular girls in high school, mainly one girl named Veronica (Winona Ryder) who just joined the most popular (and pretty) girls in school who called themselves Heathers, as they are named after. It’s a brave movie for a teen genre, and it also showed by their fashion. These girls wore skirts, plaids and blazers with festive colors. And it showed their characters at the same time. Apparently it is also a popular choice for Halloween, it can look pretty costume-y but through fashionable angle, it’s still a bold taste.
