Fashion | That 70's TrendFashion | That 70's TrendFashion | That 70's TrendFashion | That 70's TrendI have loved watching the 70's trend make a comeback over the past year or so. Yet I have never conformed to it myself. With this flared-sleeved playsuit from Motel Rocks, I was won over...
You know the trend. The out-there zig-zag patterns, flared jeans, flared sleeves, tie-up shirts, the big chunky boots - it has all made a comeback over the past twelve months. When thinking about the 70's trend on a whole, my mind always wanders to the super fashionable Megan Ellaby, she rocks the trend effortlessly every time. I have always admired the trend on other people, envious of the silhouettes the pieces produced and forever wishing that I could come across pieces so that I could add the trend to my own wardrobe in some way...
Paisley is always been one of my favorite patterns, I've admired it for a long time. The floral additions and intricate dot detailing of this particular design swept me off my feet. I actually ordered this Dress (£39) version first, however, when it arrived it just was not 'right'. I just didn't click with it which means it was popped back in it's bag and sent back straight away. A few weeks later I spied this beautiful Playsuit (currently £15!) version online and knew that it would suit me more than the dress did - and it was in the sale. BONUS!
I paired the playsuit with my favorite new ASOS Pom Pom Shoes (£28), because I just obviously cannot get enough of the little fluff balls on my tootsies! I popped my hair up in little milkmaid braids due to the strong winds that were going on, thank god I managed to get some snaps. 95% of the photos from this photoshoot had a big strand of hair making it's way across my face... Not a good look!
I haven't shot an outfit in ages and it feels so good to be back into the swing of things. I feel like I'm having an image crisis at the moment as none of the shops that I usually buy from have nothing that are taking my fancy right now! Let me know in the comments what you think of the 70's trend and how you incorporate it into your wardrobe... I would love to know!Megan. xoFacebook  - Twitter - Instagram - Bloglovin - YoutubeCheck out my February advertiser - Saint Boutique!
