ENG | The Fallas of Valencia are already here! So as most Valencian people do in this festivity, I spent the day with friends at Valencia City. Where, as many of you know, the Falla winner of this year has been La Plaza del Pilar with the title of "Scandal".
Here are some tips of where to go and what to do in Valencia in Fallas:
ESP | ¡Valencia ya está en fallas! Así que como la mayoría de valencianos hacemos en estas fechas, nos vamos a pasar el día a Valencia capital acompañados de amigos. Donde, como ya muchos sabréis, la falla ganadora de este año ha sido la de La Plaza del Pilar, titulada "Escándalo".
Aquí van algunos consejos sobre dónde ir y qué hacer en Valencia en Fallas:
ENG | The best way to enjoy the mascletá of Valencia is from the North station, especially if we go at the Fallas week, when there are the largest number of people.
ESP | La mejor forma de disfrutar de la mascletá de Valencia es desde la estación del norte, sobre todo si vamos en plena semana de fallas, cuando hay la mayor cantidad de gente.
ENG | One of the best ways to enjoy The Fallas is to go to the offering of the Virgin of the Desamparados. However, if you don't have the opportunity, in the days after the Fallas you can also appreciate it as there is no crowd and the square is filled with flowers.
ESP | Una de las mejores formas de disfrutar de las fallas es ir a la ofrenda de la Virgen de los Desamparados. Sin embargo, si no tenéis la ocasión, en los días posteriores a las Fallas también se aprecia muy bien, sin multitud y con la plaza llena de flores.
ENG | To eat well, without paying an excessive price, the best option is to go to the restaurants more remote from the center; or something that I love is going to the Central Market of Valencia buy artisan bread and Iberic ham at any stand, and ask them to make us a sandwich, something that many people of Valencia rightly do, as it is inexpensive and delicious.
ESP | Para comer bien, sin pagar un excesivo precio, la mejor opción es ir a los restaurantes más apartados del centro; o algo que me encanta a mí, es ir al Mercado Central de Valencia comprar pan artesanal de alguna parada y jamón ibérico de otra, y pedir que nos hagan un bocata, algo que hace acertadamente mucha gente de Valencia, económico, local y delicioso.
