Fab Find: Mark. Show Me Your Metal Necklace

Mark. Show Me Your Metal Necklace

As you know, I believe that accessories can be the thing that can make an outfit, finish a look and add some spice the basics in your wardrobe.  Accessories are versatile and a small investment in a necklace, a great bracelet or a pair of earrings can get a lot of mileage.

Take, for example, a recent Fab Find of mine, the Mark. Show Me Your Metal Necklace that I recently acquired and plan on using liberally in my own personal styling.  The ornately detailed layered leaves in burnished brass make for a big necklace that can stand out but also blend in at the same time.  The price is also right at $24.00  While this necklace can take you well into the fall season, I think it’s a great look that you can start using now to spice up your summer looks.

Here are some of the outfits I put together using this necklace.

Chic to the Max

If you’ve been swearing by your maxi dresses this summer, now is the time to start thinking about some new accessories to update the look of these pieces that you’ve been relying on.  Often, by mid-summer, we get tired of our summer staples due to over-wear, but by simply bringing in a new piece of jewelry our stalwart summer basics feel like new again.  I love this bronze Mark. necklace because it makes this basic navy dress look so rich.  For more tips on reviving your summer staples check out my advice here.

Keep Your Cool at Work…While Still Being Stylish

The nice thing about accessories is that they can often go from weekend to workday.  I love the way this Mark. necklace finishes off this basic ivory work top and makes the entire outfit look more polished.  In the summer we tend to want to wear as little as possible to keep cool.  Accessories are a great way to finish an outfit while keeping the rest of the outfit summery yet professional.  For more workplace styling tips click here.

Pack Light and Get More Looks on Vacation with Accessories

I’m a big believer in packing lots of accessories when you go on vacation.  Not only do accessories take up little space in your suitcase, but they can easily be added to outfits to change up the look.  A necklace like this one can take a simple summer vacation dress and add a little more flair.  For more stylish vacation packing tips, check out my advice here.

Sweltering Style

When the mercury rises I tend to want to wear less clothes.  Accessories are a great way to make your more basic summer pieces look a bit more polished even when it is hot outside.  In this case, going for a olive safari inspired summer look, this necklace fits perfectly and makes an easy breezy dress a bit more special.  You never have to sacrifice style just because it is warm out.  For more tips on how to make a summer dress more stylish, click here.

Accessories are Year Round Staples

There are so many benefits to having a variety of accessories to choose one, yet one of the greatest reasons is that they are year round and don’t have to be packed away once the season is over.  This necklace can be a year round piece so think about it for fall as well.  For more tips on how to style jeans, click here.
