Tattoos are not that evil (!) anymore. If you have some, you are likely to be branded as cool than be avoided in this age. Some people though, take body art to the extreme, it’s not for every body, definitely not for the average Joe.

Meet Elaine Davidson, with more than 8000 holes in her body, and upwards of 500 in her genitals, she’s officially the world’s most pierced woman.

“I enjoy standing out in the crowd. When I go shopping it’s quite fun… People do look at me, the way they think is fun or scary or is a little bit intimidating but do you know what?  I don’t really care.”

Mary Jose is a qualified lawyer and mother of four. She is also known as Mexico’s Vampire Woman at the tattoo parlor. She has ink on 96% of her body, multiple piercings, teeth implants, as well as implants in her head, chest and arms, and always more in the pipeline. Her latest additions are extra implants in her arms.

“Of course many people don’t like it …I think it’s because they don’t dare to be themselves.”

You can see a Japanese man known as Scorpion on the right. He and his friends receive their bagel heads via silicone drip. As the saline is trapped in the forehead, it creates a small dam. But this procedure is not permanent, 16 to 24 hours later, when their bodies have absorbed the saline, the swelling will disappear completely. Scorpion says,

“Body modification is my reason for living.  It’s my life. I continue to take body modification one step further all the time.”
