By Stacey Gonzalez- March 2014Teddy has a pretty remarkable story. Transported all the way from a puppy mill in Arkansas, Teddy ended up at Rawhide Rescue in Warren, New Jersey. Thanks to the hard working and dedicated individuals at Rawhide Rescue Teddy was connected to Damian. Damian first met three month old Teddy at an adoption meet and greet at the Petco in Bridgewater, NJ. One look at Teddy’s adorable face and it’s easy to see how someone could fall in love. Just look at that face!Teddy went from a lost pup to a dog surrounded by love and affection. He was finally to live a real dog-life with his wonderful new family. Teddy was “moving on up” to the island metropolis of Manhattan. This big city pooch has adjusted and loves going for walks, playing at parks and participating in dog runs and agility training.
Learning to trust again, Teddy opened his heart to his new family and they let him in- with a structured life, daily routines and a balance of affection and obedience training. Teddy has become a trusting, playful and affectionate pet. His intelligence is able to shine and has he become a better dog than what his family could have ever imagined.

Teddy enjoys cuddling at home and doesn’t mind sharing his toys- his favorite toy being a squeaky chipmunk. His chipmunk has become part of his after dinner routine. He is a happy dog who is eager to please and impress people with his many talents.
Teddy’s story reminds us that so many rescues and shelters have extraordinary pets just like him waiting for a forever home. If you live in the New Jersey or New York area, check out Rawhide Rescue or check out Petfinder.com to find an adoptable in your area.
