MIT Technology Review selected Expect Labs as one of the world’s “50 Smartest Companies” of 2014, an honor that is a testament to our team’s vision and hard work over the past few years. According to the editors, “Expect Labs and the companies on the list represent the disruptive innovations most likely to change our lives.” It’s not only thrilling to be recognized for such a prestigious award, but it also exemplifies the significance of the problem we’re trying to solve.
"It might sound difficult to define what makes a smart company, but you know one when you see it," said Brian Bergstein, deputy editor of MIT Technology Review. “When such a company commercializes a truly innovative technology, things happen: leadership in a market is bolstered or thrown up for grabs. Competitors have to refine or rethink their strategies… Familiar names such as Apple and Facebook aren’t on this list because reputation doesn’t matter. We’re highlighting where important innovations are happening right now.”
