Exiled but I Love Dragons So It’s [kinda] Okay.

By Marensmorsels @marentweets

Again you all leave me the best comments. I LOVE when you guys like what I make. It motivates me to cook more fun things and continue eating clean. Which ultimately keeps me feeling awesome. You all have no idea how big a part of my health you all play. I couldn’t do it without all of you.

I wish I could send you each a Hallmark Card.

I’ve been kicked out of my old office!

As all of you know, I do graphic design at my work along with designing fun banners for all you bloggers. But I also run a huge printer and help with the production of a line of art done on reclaimed barn wood.

My brother has decided to come work for us full time until Christmas. So he get’s to run the big printer now and I was moved to our office and off the production floor. Now I’m just doing graphic design all the time.

It’s cool. And my Dad said to look at it like a promotion… but it sort of feels like I was fired. I don’t know how much I like it.

My 9 mile run yesterday left me beat and I slept a little later than normal. In my rush I stopped at Starbucks for my coffee and a little fruit.

I photographed everything Jeep style. I’m pretty sure it tasted better after sitting on the Wrangler…

I also tried their Komodo Dragon Blend. My Starbucks normally doesn’t have it and when I see the word Dragon it makes me happy.

It’s delicious. I love the cinnamon and black pepper flavors. It’s almost spicy. I think it’s an awesome-rich breakfasty coffee.

I had a brief scare this morning moving my computer. This is NEVER a good screen.

Progress!

It’s been a while since I did a little progress check-in. It’s time to change that.

First, I’m feeling great again. My body is working right, my C-Diff symptoms are gone (or, under control), and I’m back to running.

My 9 miles yesterday were HARD. But hard in a good way. I’m not worried about making the whole 13.1 in a few weeks. My stomach & intestines do get unhappy with me after working out lately, but I think it’s mostly because they’re still inflamed and sensitive. Hopefully this will become less and less as time goes on.

I’ve maintained my 10-15 pound weight loss since late May. Mostly from eating clean and getting my healthy guidelines (most days). I love that! I’ve never lost weight and maintained it without ‘dieting’ before. Weight loss was never the goal but I’m super jazzed that it was a perk and that I’ve been able to keep it up. I think that means I’m making life changes, which is super duper cool. I’ll be a clean eater forever… you’ve convinced me. wink wink.

You guys rock! Thanks for being there for me.

Tell me about you!!! I want to know…

What tropical-type fruit do you like most?

Mango.

If you could go to Disney Land or Orlando Studios where would you go?

Disney Land, duh!

What is your favorite mythical creature?

Dragons or unicorns… Dinosaurs count too because they’re extinct and hence basically mythical.

What is the 1 thing at the gym that keeps you paying that membership fee?

the elliptical trainer.
