Exciting New Beauty Products That Have My Attention

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema

I haven't done a beauty wish list post in ages. Considering the influx of new products on the market right now, I thought it would be fun to talk about products that have caught my attention and why. So grab a snack, something to drink, and lets talk about some new and exciting products this afternoon.

1.) I am on a foundation kick right now, and the new Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation sounds incredible. it is described as a full coverage, long lasting foundation with a "modern matte finish." It claims to absorb oil and diffuse light too. It looks like it comes in a great variety of shades, so there should be a color for everyone. Urban Decay says it has three times the pigment of the Naked Skin Foundation, so it will be great for days I want a lot of coverage. Which is pretty much everyday if I am being honest. And just look at the packaging! It is stunning. I am also intrigued by the new Hourglass foundation, but I prefer liquid foundations and the price of it is crazy when you look at how little product you get.
2.) I haven't heard anyone mention the new Smashbox Master Class Lighting Theory Palette. I haven't had the chance to try any of the other Master Class Palettes, and this one looks like the best yet. The idea is to have everything you need to achieve a perfect glow and Smashbox says everything inside was inspired by the lighting used in their studios. That sold me right away. It has 4 color correctors, 16 eyeshadows, 3 blushes, and 3 cream highlighters. It has great reviews on Sephora so far and it seems like a great palette to have. The price tag of $65 isn't so bad when you consider everything you get.
3.) Sephora and Ulta are starting to carry a lot more Asian skincare products, which is exciting. One brand I am very happy to see at Sephora is Neogen. Their Green Tea Real Fresh Foam Cleanser has been on my radar for quite some time. It actually has whole green tea leaves housed in the bottom, so it is always fresh. It is marketed for all skin types and it is $19 for 5.5 oz.
4.) Another Neogen product that caught my eye is the Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon pads. I have acne scars all over my cheeks, so any thing that helps uneven skin tone and clarity, I'm all in. These gauze pads have three layers and use manual and chemical exfoliators. Two of the main ingredients are Vitamin C and AHA which are fantastic for your skin. They are $27 for 30 pads. The two Neogen products aren't actually new, but they are new to Sephora.
5.) Conair has a nifty new device that could be fantastic, or an absolute fail. I have heard about light therapy being great for acne and as a tool for anti-aging. However it is generally on the pricey side. Now Conair has an option that is much more affordable. The Conair True Glow LED Anti-Acne Unit is $49 at Ulta. Blue light therapy kills bacteria living in your skin that leads to acne. It is an FDA approved treatment and it has been tested by dermatologists. It sounds very promising and they also have one for anti-aging.
6.) Metallic lips are all the rage right now, and NYX has come up with a fun range called the Cosmic Creams that come in a variety of fun shades. I can't find the ones by Milani, so I hope that my Ulta gets them in store very soon.
7.) Another new NYX product I have my eye on are their loose pigments. I think these are only available on their site for the time being. Once I am able to see them in person, I will be all over them, especially any copper shades they have. I expect that they will be pretty amazing in terms of pigment and quality. And you already know they are going to be budget friendly.
8.) Gone are the days when Butter London was solely known for nail polish. They have a ton of makeup products, including the newly released Glazen Eye Gloss. These new eye glosses come in 4 shades and this is a trend I am very interested in trying for myself. They have a shade called Oil Slick, which appears to be a red toned brown with a blue shift. If the formula is great, can you just imagine how fierce that would look? These are $24 (yikes) and they are available at Ulta and on the Butter London site.
9.) This is probably the most exciting beauty news this year (at least to me): e.l.f is finally at Ulta. Granted it is only online, but it is a great start. e.l.f has some nifty blotting sheets that are an Ulta exclusive. What makes these special is the application sponge that picks up the blotting sheets. Even though I have oily skin, I never use blotting sheets. I always grab way more than I need, they get bent while inside my bag, and that flimsy piece of film can be difficult to hold on to. But this takes care of that problem thanks to the nice compact, sponge, and it even has a mirror.
10.) This product is similar to the e.l.f blotting sheets in terms of function, but the delivery couldn't be more different. I saw a recent video by Tati on YouTube and she raved about the CoverFX Custom Blot Drops. I have oily skin, so I was instantly intrigued. It doesn't have the greatest reviews on Sephora's site, but I am still curious about them. They are very versatile in that you can apply them before foundation,  mix them with your foundation, or you can even apply them on top of your foundation for touch ups.
There are a few more products I have my eyes on, such as the new Tarte concealer and Urban Decay liners, but the above products don't have the hype around them and seem more interesting to me as a result. I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I have an FOTD post coming up and a couple of reviews.
See you soon!
