EVIL EMPIRE #4 Review

Posted on the 27 August 2014 by Geekasms @geekasms

The one thing about Evil Empire is that it never seems to surprise me. I can’t predict where this story is going. Max Bemis comes up with some bizarre scenarios that I would never see coming. This chapter let’s none of the previous statements go by the wayside.

Since this series keeps starting off 25 years into the future, we get to see a bit of what is happening then. Coming back to the present to how it is all starting is the crazy part. Laramy is dead and Duggins is the new president. There is some crazy inbreeding stuff going on and the plot thickens more at the turn of the page. Very insane stuff happening right now.

This has to be one of my favorite independent comics. I really dig the story thus far and as mentioned before it never leaves me hanging. With the new artist in full effect, it will probably take me a another issue to get fully used to the style change. I liked the original artist a lot and this one isn’t bad just different. Check out the pages below and judge for yourself.
