Here’s a slightly overdue post from an event I attended before I flew off to Korea – a Kose beauty workshop with Ariel Lin. To be really honest, I had no inkling of who Ariel Lin was when I accepted the invitation, but just 10 minutes into the workshop, I saw why she was a star. She’s got such an effervescent personality, charming, cheerful and witty and she defo knows her products well.
Two types of new sun care products from Kose – The Gel and Milk, as well as the BB.
Various activities for the participants – the photo booth…
… sand art making…
… and of course, every lady’s fave, the makeover.
Special deals for the day – I ended up buying the Sun Milk for my momma.
And my very first glance of Ariel Lin!
The girl is cute to the max, and has a great personality to boot. Just look at her eyes – they’re literally brimming with liveliness and there’s even a sparkle. When asked how she felt after several days of filming left her tanned, her first reaction was (in mandarin) “Wow, my teeth certainly look whiter!” Tell me you don’t love her after this.
Going with an innocent and pure all-white ensemble for the first portion of her stage. She’s really much prettier than her photos.
On the verge of sounding like a horrible person, I daresay Kose could have found a more inspirational-looking model… this girl (I’m sure she’s a nice person and all), but she really doesn’t have what it takes to be a demonstration model. She does not make me want to run out there and buy all the Kose products used on her. Which is why I’m keeping my photos of her to a minimal of 1. well, 2 in 1 anyway.Next up, a showdown between Kose’s trainer and Ariel in BB application. I’ve never seen any artist so game for such an event. The girl has spunk!
Although Ariel did slather on quite a lot of BB on the model and she did take twice the amount of time, I still say thumbs up. Any artist who’s so sporting and willing to not just be a decorative flower vase deserves several pats on the back.
The Japanese makeup artist who looks vaguely like Vaness Wu takes the stage, and this time, with a much more appropriate model (Hayley (or is it Jayley) Woo.
Giving her a touseled wind-swept hairdo to complete her look of the day. I tried to get a better shot but her face is so small that my cam had difficulty focusing on it. I kid you not. Such a lucky pretty girl.
All eyes are suddenly trained on the back of the hall.. cos Ariel’s in da house again, yo.
An outfit change into a much prettier and more trendy dark navy-toned dress.
Every photographer’s dream – an assortment of poses by the spokeperson. :D
And the last shot for the day – I’m a newfound fan of Ariel Lin :D
