Evaline: Patterned EP

Posted on the 13 April 2011 by Hctf @hctf

Evaline is a band from Turlock, CA, but they sound definitely European, a mix of early U2, Big Country and Radiohead. They think big and somehow managed to be added to the bill of a couple of prestigious UK and Irish Summer Festivals.

Founded in 2003 it took some time for their career to take off. They were signed to Maverick and released an EP that turned some heads. After that label sank, they focused on live shows only before returning to the studio in 2010 for a self-released follow-up. The Patterned EP is full of guitar tapestries, all laid down in mid-tempo that goes down so well during outdoor festivals. Evaline doesn't rock out as such, but with this release they will make some new friends in the Old World.

Evaline:
Richard Perry: vocals
Christian Lewis: guitar
Dominic Di Ciano: guitar
Steven Pedersen: bass
Greg Petersen: drums
Daniel Petersen: baritone guitar
