Enjoying Hockey Despite the Lockout - Watching an Ontario Reign Game

If you look to the right hand side of this here blog you'll see an icon that says SoCal Lady Bloggers. That, my friends, is an awesome blogging community that I happen to be a part of. It's a group of women from all walks of life coming together to support and encourage each other as we navigate the world of blogging. Occasionally there will be get togethers where we get to meet up and have some fun together. And that's just what happened recently when we all took in an Ontario Reign game at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

Now I have to honestly say that prior to this event I had never heard of the Ontario Reign. Although I was once a huge hockey fan and regularly attended Ducks games (complete with my autographed JS Giguere jersey) my NHL days are long behind me. I couldn't even tell ya why...it was probably an overdose. I went to A LOT of games.
So when I heard about this event I knew I just had to go because I still love a good hockey game. And since I'm a SoCal Lady Blogger I was treated like a VIP (this group opens doors, y'all!). First came a guided tour of the arena.




Now I know this sounds condescending but I'm being truly sincere - the arena was so cute! Like a miniature version of the Pond, err Honda Center. And though it's small, it's chock full of amenities - various concession stands, a private club, and luxury suites are all at your fingertips.
And since we were VIP's we were treated to a luxury suite! Woo hoo!



It was the prime viewing spot to watch the Reign play.
So, if the lockout's got you down rest assured there's some great hockey happening nearby and with tickets as low as $10 it's an awesome deal to boot!
