Enemies on the Left, False Friends on the Right – Part 8

By Eowyn @DrEowyn

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? I Peter 3:8-13

Society for the Protection of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP)

On the TFP website, they state, “Mr. Weyrich was also a good friend of the American TFP. Since the early eighties, he regularly met with Mr. Mario Navarro da Costa of the TFP Washington Bureau, with whom he traveled on several occasions to Latin America and Europe, visiting the local TFPs and being introduced to their networks of friends. He also visited the Brazilian TFP in 1988, and met with its founder Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira. Over the years, Mr. Weyrich has proven to be an invaluable friend.”

So, what is TFP, and who was Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira? The latter was a Brazilian extremist and self-styled “prophet,” founder of a “crusade” against agrarian reform and “Communism,” which openly calls for the implementation of a world-wide “Christian” regime based on Medieval hierarchy and repression. This “crusade” is called Tradition, Family and Property (TFP). Plinio was the author of 15 books and over 2,500 essays and articles. His works include: In Defense of Catholic Action, Revolution and Counter-Revolution, The Church and the Communist State: The Impossible Coexistence, Nobility and Analogous Traditional Elites in the Allocutions of Pius XII, and many others.

The militant followers, who would come to receive his blessing, had to prostrate themselves in front of Plinio with their foreheads touching the ground; they would then kiss the armchair Plinio usually sat on. This odd right-wing organization, unlike no other, publicly holds that the rich are better than the poor.

CNP charter member Morton Blackwell, who gained renewed fame at the 2012 Republican convention, also worked with Plinio de Corrêa de Olivier’s Tradition, Family & Property (TFP). Blackwell endorsed Olivier’s book, Nobility & Analagous Traditional Elites, on the necessity of restoring traditional Nobility & Elites to rule the world. In the forward, Blackwell wrote: “One does not have to accept Papal infallibility to appreciate a case persuasively made, using theological, moral, and prudential arguments. This book will convince many readers, whatever their faith, that good elites are legitimate, desirable and, yes, necessary.”

The Secret Story of a Cult Apologist by Miguel Martinez features a picture of Paul Weyrich and Morton Blackwell with the American head of TFP, which is the parent organization of CESNUR, the cult apology network for cults such as Scientology. Link

CESNUR is especially virulent, (Link) particularly against the testimony of former members of “cults,” where, in certain cases Cesnur even deliberately lied in order to discredit them. Co-founded by Massimo Introvigne (Managing Director), J. Gordon Melton, and Eileen Barker, among others, CESNUR is seen by many as an organization of cult apologists. At the very least, it has an anti-anticult stance, meaning it opposes the doctrines, methods and goals of anti-cult and counter-cult organizations.

Massimo Introvigne is still today the head of CESNUR and practices as a lawyer with Jacobacci & Perani. Introvigne established CESNUR, launching an unceasing campaign, and quickly becoming, together with J. Gordon Melton and Eileen Barker, one of the most important cult apologists in the world. TFP, in the meantime, continues to uphold the same views as CESNUR, views which share several features with the visionary propaganda of groups like the Church of Scientology, “that there is a worldwide ‘anti-cult conspiracy’ manipulated by psychiatrists and Communists.” Unluckily for them, TFP was recently named in a list of destructive cults drawn up by the French Parliament.

Considering Plinio Correa de Oliveira’s love for the inquisition, it may come as a surprise that Introvigne signed a manifesto in defense of Scientology, rather than branding the US multinational with the “mark of infamy.” Is it any wonder then, that the Church of Scientology is a member of Weyrich’s American Legislative Exchange Council? Morton Blackwell’s Tribute to Weyrich

Paul Weyrich died in 2008 at age 66, but his profound influence on the Council for National Policy, the Heritage Foundation and ALEC lives on.

On the Leadership Institute website, Weyrich’s good friend, Morton Blackwell, gives a tribute to Paul Weyrich. It would be wise to read it as it contains valuable quotes and information.

The Leadership Institute,” which was started in 1979 by charter member and Executive Director of the CNP, Morton C. Blackwell, is allegedly a “non-partisan” educational institute that has been preparing conservatives for success in politics, government, and the news media. Here is the list of Leadership Institute’s funding. Please note, the Carthage Foundation is a Richard Mellon Scaife Foundation, also note, CNP charter member, Richard DeVos and wife, Helen’s Foundation. DeVos is the founder of Amway. As well, the Charles E. Koch Foundation, this is David and Charles Koch of Americans for Prosperity. Link Remember, David Koch is on the board of Trustees of Rockefeller University. He is also on the board of the globalist new age Aspen Institute formerly headed by new age environmentalist Maurice Strong who I wrote about in More Republican Deception. Koch is also on the board of Earthwatch Institute, an environmental, sustainability, Agenda 21 group. See this map of Koch’s many connections. David Koch also supports gay marriage and stem-cell research.

Since its 1979 founding, the Leadership Institute has trained more than 91,475 students. Notable alumni include CNP charter members, Grover Norquist who is a Council on Foreign Relation member, as well as a converted Muslim (Link Link), and Ralph Reed, former head of Pat Robertson’s Christian Coalition who was involved with fellow CNP member, Jack Abramoff’s lobbying scandals. Others include, Jeff Gannon, Senator Mitch McConnell, Governor Mike Pence, James O’Keefe, and seven members of the 112th Congress.

According to a former CNP member who found out what they were all about, he was “managed” while in the CNP by members, Morton Blackwell and Neal Hogan. He went to Blackwell’s church which is close to the capitol, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, where there was a female priest who was married to an abortion doctor. He owned 6 abortion clinics. This former CNP member was there when they asked for prayer for this abortion doctor for an emergency that morning. They also endorsed homosexual marriage.

Neal Hogan’s wife Maureen, ran the Clinton Investigation Commission and garnered millions of dollars in donations during the Clinton years. However, they were close friends with the Clinton’s, and all the funds went to help the Clintons. This Pastor, who was a former member, fully believes the CNP is an arm of the UN. Link

The umbrella organization of the Council for National Policy for the 435 member groups, is nothing more than the right arm of the Council on Foreign Relations. Their ties to the Heritage Foundation, ALEC, and other powerful organizations and people, is a spider web of such immense proportions that it would take volumes to fully connect all the dots. In Part 9, we’ll discuss Heritage’s past President, Edwin Feulner.
