British pop star Ellie Coulding recently paired up with the mediocre DJ Calvin Harris for the melodramatic, crappy digital arcade loading music, “I Need Your Love.” This morning, Ellie released a cover following a charming idea to take this tune and strip it down all twee and folksy like (i.e. not sexy at all). ALthough I’m usually opposed to acoustic covers, her voice makes for an exception, especially given the cheesiness of the original.
