Fragrance designer Eric Buterbaugh EB, just unveiled his first-ever fragrance collaboration. Nick’s Sunflower, with Hollywood fashion darling Nick Fouquet. The amazing artisanal hat designer who creates hats for Pharrell, Justin Bieber, Nikki Reed, Gigi Hadid, Madonna, Beyoncé, and more. This scent, which is based upon the Sunflower (that has no scent, so this is Eric and Nick’s take on what it would smell like if it had a scent), This is the perfect marriage of two totally different Los Angeles neighborhoods: Eric’s luxe Beverly Hills & Nick’s laid-back Venice.

While neither Eric Buterbaugh nor Nick Fouquet are fashion designers. Both are beloved by the fashion community, and darlings of the Los Angeles fashion scene. Eric hails from Beverly Hills luxe and Nick is very laid-back Venice. But there’s a sumptuous likeness to what the other does and a similarity in their quirky, witty personalities which made for an ideal partnership, and the perfect combination of the different Los Angeles neighborhoods. Their two different worlds come together around the sunflower: Nick’s favorite flower.

Nick’s Sunflower will be based on the Sunflower (or what a sunflower would smell like if it had a scent…) and just launched in May 2017. Nick also created a collection of hats to coincide with the fragrance launch. The scent is fun and happy, yet an intriguing choice for a fragrance as the sunflower actually has no scent. Together with master perfumer Ilias Ermenidis at Firmenich, Eric and Nick created an actual olfactive depiction of what the scent of Sunflower could be if it existed encapsulated in Eric’s classic crystal bottle. Think yellow flowers following the sun, blue skies, immense fields.
