The Dyson humidifier looks like something that could be found in a spaceship. Before releasing any mist, the water in the tank is exposed to an ultraviolet light and then atomised by a piezo. This three minute cycle kills 99.9% of bacteria in the water. The other big advantage is the even room coverage it achieves with the Air Multiplier technology that projects humidified air quickly and quietly. It also measures the room temperature and humidity and adjusts accordingly to create a comfortable environment.
