Dropping Anchor: Autumn Hill at the 2015 CNE!

On a chilly end of summer night in Toronto, hometowners Autumn Hill took the CNE bandshell stage. The Wednesday night show wasn’t the biggest that the duo has played, and it wasn’t the loudest with just Mike’s guitar and their voices – but it seemed like it may have been one of their most fun as an act as they got to cross a Toronto institution off of their bucket list.

The acoustic set started with the bench seats already 95% full, and a half dozen rows of fans standing directly in front of the stage to get an even closer look at one of Canada’s hottest country music duos.

While the acoustic set was unexpected (leading into what was a pretty fantastic Rick Springfield rock show), it did allow for Autumn Hill’s voices to shine. And while they came to the stage sans-set list, we made sure to keep track for them and for you and for us.

The short set was a nice mix of tracks from Autumn Hill’s first record Favourite Mistake and their new release Anchor with a cover mash-up and an unreleased track thrown in for good measure.
