The latest trend that I'm about to talk about on TFBJ is something that I have done for ages. Mainly because of my background and culture. I know people think Kendall Jenner was one of the first to sport the whole dress over pants thing- yes, that girl has style but it doesn't stem from her closet. The people in India (and many other countries) have been wearing this style for ages! Here's the deal, the true name is "Salwar Kameez". I'm only half Indian so growing up, my Guyanese mother would just called it a Salwar" and it was my favorite traditional garment to wear. I was able to look girly but still sit comfortably.

As you can see in the above images of Priyanka Chopra, she is posing in style wearing a Salwar. So with that being said, lets get back to the real topic at hand. Why should you wear dresses and pants? Well here are 3 reasons why!1) Warm Up Your Cold Legs: The weather is getting colder by the day and this is a great transitional option for taking your summer dresses into the fall. Or even your fall dresses into the winter! You can add a pair of skinny jeans under a summer/fall dress and keep your legs warm. Sweet!
2) Toss Your Tights: Leggings and tights are always our go to option for the fall and winter. Swap your black pair of leggings for slim fitted ankle length pants and you can take it from day to night.
3) Keep It Edgy: Throwing a pair of pants/denim or trousers under your dress shows that you aren't afraid to think outside of the box. It will give your look the edge you are looking for.
