With the bank holiday weekend upon us and the thought of beer gardens, twinkly lights and cocktails on the cards, it seems the perfect occasion to wear this Dress Me Luxe number. I'd recommend going easy on the red wine; just in case..

I don't usually go for a white dress for the above reason and the fact I'm still yet to grow out of the not so graceful habit of spilling food on myself. Is that something I'm meant to admit online? Oops. My clumsy habits aside, it's a lovely dress and different to anything else in my wardrobe. It's very fitted and flattering but without being too short - good, if like me, you want to focus on your legs and really good quality. With sheer mesh, baroque patterns and suedette paneling to the front complimenting the lace up detailing, the dress is a talking point and I'd keep any accessories toned down to make it pop. I've paired it with simple silver jewellery, my nude valentino inspired heels (from Primark - yes really!) and Aspinal clutch.

White is a great color for the summer, when the nights are lighter and you don't need to think about layering a jacket over your outfit. I will still be wearing this later in the summer and popping one of my biker jackets on top for a slightly tougher look and an extra layer depending on the weather.

If you're looking for a new dress for a night with the girls, try Dress Me Luxe from Dress Me Zara, a slightly higher end collection with everything from lace to glitter detailing putting a twist on the classic LBD.

A little thank you to The Funky Indian for letting us shoot within their prosecco bar. If you're in Sunderland want some Indian tapas and fizz, I highly recommend popping along!

Have you got a little white dress you turn to? Or are you a LBD fan? Let me know!
