CS Lewis, one of my favorite authors gave us the last quote on dreams for this week when he said,
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”
Have you ever stopped your dreaming because of a limitation you imposed?
You’re too old; you’re to short, tall, then or fat? You don’t have the education or the money or the intelligence?
Look around, never before have we been so able to watch every age, gender, and physicality do everything they’ve dreamed.
There is no barrier to your dreams.
Whether or not you believe that is whether or not you will attain them.
CS Lewis created stories that spark the dreams of others so I choose to believe him – that I’m never to old – that dreams are not the realm of age, they are the realm of imagination.
I believe our imagination does not age it simply gets stronger, better, and more able to dream.
Friday Funny
Two elderly couples were enjoying friendly conversation when one of the men asked the other,” Fred, how was the memory clinic you went to last month?”
“Outstanding,” Fred replied. “They taught us all the latest psychological techniques: visualization, association, etc. It was great.”
“That’s great! And what was the name of the clinic?” asked his friend.
Fred went blank. He thought and thought, but couldn’t remember.
Then a smile broke across his face and he asked, “What do you call that flower with the long stem and thorns?”
“You mean a rose?”
“Yes, that’s it!”
He turned to his wife, “Rose, what was the name of that memory clinic?”
