Rustic country charm in abundance! Associate photographer Chris Gorman captured Annie & Paul’s perfect wedding as their Dorset marquee wedding photographer.

Married back in August, their day was everything you could wish for from a rustic country styled wedding day. A church ceremony followed by a short tractor and trailer ride for the bridal party, off a few hundred yards away to their reception location. The remaining guests following on foot, led by a lone Scottish bagpiper.

Their marquee reception was held at The Old Malthouse in Langton Matravers, Dorset.

Annie & Paul’s day was one that I really wanted to capture. Annie’s sheer enthusiasm and excitement looking forward to the big day was an energy that I knew, would provide some brilliant pictures.

This natural energy, is the magic ingredient that makes so much difference, when capturing great documentary wedding photography. It presents unknown possibilities, beyond the photographers control, real opportunities to seize spontaneity and emotion.

I, being already booked for her date, handed this great couple over to Associate photographer Chris, who capitalised to the full. He captured some great images that really bring me, as well as other viewers into the day sharing in so many touching moments.

The glances and laughter exchanged during their wedding ceremony, the tenderness they share as a couple, and some memorable portraits of the happy couple taken in the ‘golden hour’ shortly before sunset.

This was a great organic, rustic Dorset wedding, bringing all the essential wedding aspects together beautifully. So many home made aspects, firmly keeping the attention of the day on a great couple, enjoying celebrating with their closest family and friends.
