Dooney? Where Have You Gone?

By Thelawsoffashion

I don’t understand Doony & Bourke.  I felt like for a little bit, they were on the edge of becoming something amazing.  I bought their Dillen II and I loved it, so much so that I wore the thing out.

This O-Ring Shopper? First of all, that is the most creative name you could come up with? It sounds so uncreative and grandma-ish.  Then, why are all of the purses from Dooney doing some sort of weird cheap throwback situation?  The purses all look like the junky free gifts you get when you buy J.Lo perfume or something.  I am sorry, but I am not paying over 2 bills to carry around something that looks like I got it in the Goodwill clearance bin.  Be honest? Aren’t you disappointed too?  I so want Coach to have some serious competition.  But, I guess they don’t.

While I am on the subject.  Dooney’s website also behaves like it was created in the 1980′s.  The pictures are not that fabulous and there is no excuse.  Everyone can take amazing pictures with Instagram and their iPhone now.  Also, the search mechanism is not intuitive at all.  At least they offer free shipping on orders over $100 and Easy Pay over 3 months.  That way Grandmas normally used to shopping at 3am on the QVC channel because their C-PAP machine broke will have a way to pay that sounds so much cheaper than it really is.  3 easy installments of $79.99.

I am not trying to be Negative Nancy.  I do adore their Happy Bag.  Check out this photo from Chictopia.

Dooney! Make more styles like this.  Sleek simple and not something that was already done in the 90′s.  Rewinding back to the 60′s and 70′s is the trend right now.  So this bag is nothing short of perfection.
