The gender-swapped Master, aka Missy, returns in the Series 9 two-part opener!
Oh yes, you read that right!! No more mystery about what happened to Missy, the female version of the Master, we get to meet back up with her right out of the gate!
About returning to the fan favorite roll, Michelle Gomez said: "Things have been a little beige since I left Missy behind, so I'm delighted to be putting my lippie back on. I'm positively dying to see The Doctor again!"
Written by Steven Moffat and directed by Hettie MacDonald; the Series 9 two-part opener: The Magician's Apprentice and The Witch's Familiar makes the second two-parter to be filmed for the upcoming season.
Regarding the return of Missy, Moffat said: "Everybody hide - Michelle Gomez as Missy was an instant hit last year, so she's straight back to plague the Doctor and Clara in the series opener. But what brings her back into their lives is the last thing they'd expect."
