Dobri Dobrev : A Great Philanthropist.

Dobri Dobrev is a 98 year old Bulgarian man who lost his hearing during second world war. Now you will think what is so great about him.

His greatness lies in the fact that he walks 10 kms. daily from his village in his home made clothes and leather shoes to the city of Sofia. Here he spends all of his day begging. And he made 40,000 Euro in begging.

He could have spent all the money on himself. But here he did an incredible act. He donated the money towards the restoration of decaying Bulgarian monasteries and for utility bills of orphanages. He decided to live peacefully on his state pension of 80 Euro.

 

   What a great act in our world filled with greed and selfishness.
