DIY: Holiday Lights

Pin It DIY: Holiday Lights
The gifts have been purchased. The tree is up. Stockings are hanging. Brunch menu is set. But wait, something is missing. Oh that's right. Hungry Husband has managed to evade my repeated requests to put up the festive outdoor lights. If we didn't live in a condo town house, you'd bet that our yard/roof would resemble that of the Griswold's. But we are limited and can only put up decorative lighting in our back patio. That's fine by me since the colourful lights pour into our living room and make the room extra festive.  Each and every year, we put up the usual multi-coloured set from Canadian Tire (or was it Home Depot? Can't recall). Bright little lights that'll adorn a few branches of the stand alone tree and maybe a single strand to hang on the back wall. I've always wanted to try something a little more exciting so you can imagine my excitement when I stumbled on this gem of an idea. This is an easy, low-cost DIY project courtesy of Oh Happy Day. The end result will make you feel like a kid in a candy store. This is what the holidays are all about. Creativity to shine through... to transport us from our ho hum day to day to something magical, to something sparkly and warm.
