Discovering Dermalogica

By Brightowngirl @Brightowngirl
Discovering DermalogicaThis last month or so has been the time that I have discovered Dermalogica. In December I won a prize on twitter and won the Special Cleansing Gift set, I also pick the Hero Kit set up from What's In My Handbag, here.
I thought I would share with you some of the products from the range I have been loving.
The Special Cleansing Gel is a very gentle gel cleanser which my skin seems to love. I usually use this in the shower to cleanse my skin. As the name suggests it is a thick gel that you apply to damp skin. It doesn't really foam up which I like and leaves you skin feeling clean with out it feeling tight.
Pre Cleanse is an oil cleanser that you use before you main cleanser to remove make up and grime. As you may know I love oil cleansers and this is fast becoming a favorite. I apply it to dry skin and massage in and take it over my eye make up to remove that. I then dampen my hands and massage my skin again which turns the oil into more of a milky consistency. To remove it all I use a flannel. This removed every inch of make up and leaves my skin feeling really clean and smooth.
I am starting to become more a fan of manual exfoliators but was still weary to try out the Skin Prep Scrub as I worry they are going to be too harsh on my skin. This is quite a harsh exfoliator so stay clear if you have sensitive skin but I do like to use occasionally to give my skin a good clean. It definitely leaves you skin very smooth and soft.
Lastly my favorite product of the bunch. The famous Daily Microfoliant. This has been on my radar for years but some reason I have never tried it. This is a powder that you mix with water to create an exfoliating type paste. What surprised me was the fact that is was so gentle and I think you could get away with using this everyday. It contains Salicylic Acid which is great for blemished skin tone and I do think this helps blemishes heel more quickly. Again like the other products this leaves your skin super soft and my moisturiser sinks in lovely afterwards.
Are you a fan of Dermalogica?  What products would you recommend?
