Dirty Projectors, Lucius, Future Islands [suggested Nyc Concerts]

Dirty Projectors are in New York celebrating the release of their new LP, Swing Lo Magellan, with two New York City shows: one at Music Hall of Williamsburg and one at the Prospect Park Bandshell.  If you don’t make it out to one of those, you’ll be making a mighty huge mistake.  Other highlights this week include shows by Future Islands, Lucius, Widowspeak, Dusted, and the free 4Knots Festival featuring The Drums, Crocodiles, Hospitality, and more.

Last week, I vented a bit about that fact that our fine city is being bombarded with music festivals and that the majority of them don’t deserve that label.  Well, I’ve decided to start a counter of the number of “festivals” that are going down this summer concert season here in the city.  It might be off by a couple, but it’s close!
