DESKTOP TOUR
Anybody that knows me will tell you that I'm pretty well organised. I've done a few bedroom themed posts in the past and they've been really popular, so today I thought I would do a desktop tour. I don't have a desk as such, I have a chest of 3 drawers from Ikea that I store my make-up, beauty and hair things in and I use the top of that as my 'desk'. This is the space where I get ready, as well as where I'm sat right now writing this post.
First of all is my lamp, it's a birdcage style from Dunlem Mill. As it's quite an open style it's really bright, so it's enough to light my whole room of an evening. I prefer the light of my lamp to my main light, as it's much softer and creates a cosier atmosphere.
Underneath my lamp I keep my Lauren Conrad beauty book. On top of the book is a little dish that I got from a market in South Africa, in here I keep my hair grips and some hair bobbles.
Next is my make-up brushes that I keep stored in this little glass jar, I have no idea where this came from. Underneath I keep a jewelry box which is where all of my daily jewelry lives.
My mirror is from HomeSense and it was a real bargain at £9.99. It's the perfect height for doing my make-up and doesn't take up too much space.

In the box to the left of my mirror I keep my spare Yankee melts, I'm not sure where the box was from either although HomeSense have a lot of similar ones. On top of this I keep my favorite everyday perfume which is by Ralph Lauren, I think the name is just 'her'.
On top of the surface I have a piece of glass. This just protects the drawers from make-up stains and things, it also makes this area much easier to clean. Underneath the glass is a place mat from HomeSense, I think it adds some detail and makes it a little less boring.
