FOR THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER

The Pillar of Sweetness and Love

You came that late weekday evening. But instead of presenting Yourself as a still, small voice or a gentle breeze (1 Kgs 19:12) as You normally did, this time You came as a tangible column of ineffable sweetness and lightness; literally, a well-defined pillar of about 18 inches wide and over 6 feet tall. You came to my side without warning or expectation at the request of Your Spouse, the Virgin Mary. But unlike usual, You said nothing.

You simply presented Yourself as a column and stood there facing me, slightly to my right, in perfect silence, while inundating my entire being with Your felt sweetness and love - an exquisite sweetness and love which, qualitatively, were very different from that of both God the Father and Jesus Christ; as they were similarly different from the sweetness and love of the Virgin Mary and Archangels Michael and Raphael. In fact, it can be safely said that Your sweetness is lightness itself in texture, while Your love is characterized by great gentleness. You came as the Consoler and did not stay long. But Your coming left me in no doubt about Your love for me as an individual, by Yourself as third Person of the Holy Trinity.

The above is a brief, experiential description - peira - of the Holy Spirit. It is also an example of the love of the entirety of the Holy Trinity for mankind.
