Deitrick Haddon is keeping it real.
The pastor/singer recently discussed the rumors surrounding his very public divorce, the need for transparency in the body of Christ and the journey to finding love again.
“It was my idea to do it, because I was going through something personally.”
Haddon served as executive producer on The Preachers franchise along with Dr. Holly Carter and Lemuel Plummer.
On bringing his private life into the public sector Deitrick said,”there is ministry in transparency,” explaining that people want you to keep it real.
“You have to realize there are people in your congregation, and millions of people all over who are going through the same things, if not worse. There is ministry that can be extracted out of your test so I just took the opportunity to share my heart and give people my reality.”
On the rumors surrounding his divorce, Deitrick explained that he had left the marriage because it was no good for him at that point, shouting out ex wife Damita explaining that she is a beautiful person with a great talent and a gift to the body of Christ.
Deitrick went on to share that he met his new bride, Dominique when he moved to L.A. explaining that she was the most beautiful person that he had ever seen.
“It was more than just her looks, it was in her heart, it was in her voice, I knew that I would never let this woman go.”
Deitrick and Dominque Haddon have been married for 4 years, and have 3 children together.
