Revealing why I've been absent for so long and sharing the photos from my winter metallic baby shower!I'm sure you've guessed by now that my long absence can only mean one thing-our baby is here! Baby D came a few weeks early erupting our life into total chaos as we were banking on those extra few weeks to tidy up loose ends to fully prepare for his arrival. But then again, who can truly be prepared for the arrival of your first born? For the past three weeks, we've experienced the full spectrum of life as new parents-sleep deprivation, exhaustion, frustration, and sheer and utter selfless love. When he's asleep, I find myself staring at the baby monitor missing his sweet tiny face. When I'm gifted with a few moments of sleep, all my dreams orbit around him, and in the off chance I'm actually out of the house I'm constantly thinking about what he's up to.
Before the baby arrived, we threw him a baby shower in a beautiful penthouse loft in the heart of Santa Monica which happens to be featured on one of my favorite sites, Inspired by This. As he's a winter baby, I picked metallic hues accented with white and lush greens. With the help of my event planner Cynthia from An Enlightened Event and Drew the flower guru at Rogue and Fox, we put together a co-ed baby shower for 70 of our closest friends and family in just under two weeks!
