Deadliest Catch Season Finale
I can't believe I've been watching Deadliest for 11 years. It never gets old, it never gets boring and it always amazes me the life these guys live. The elements alone would be too much for most people, add the physical strength needed to actually get the job done, the smell, being away from home and everything you take for granted on a daily basis, most everyone I know couldn't do this job. This season we had a greenhorn who watched the show and thought he could do it. He couldn't. Captain Wild Bill was a bit of a d*ck about it, but I get it, he was angry and disappointed. First time ever that we've had a wedding. I don't know who Tana Potts is, but she has the right name to be someone's wife on this show. She's obviously pretty low maintenance to go for a wedding on a crab boat in the freezing cold with none of her friends or family. Loved seeing Jake Anderson and Josh Harris succeed. We all know that Captain Phil wherever he is would be so incredibly proud of his son. I wish they had one episode where we follow the guys home and their families hug them even though they smell like cigarettes, coffee and old fish. That's love!
I was still pretty exhausted from Monday night's extra inning Yankee game, gotta be honest, I fell asleep pretty early last night and woke up to watch the end of Deadliest this morning. Didn't see much of anything else really. These last few weeks have totally been sucking blog wise, that is. Doing my best to give ya something each day, but with 2 days til vacation, all I can think of is my beach, my cocktail, my Softshell Crab Vera Cruz and my Candy Center Crunch. Bare with me.
THE OTHER STUFF
-Syfy cancelled Haven. Not sure how many of you care, but I'm pretty sure Jason Priestly needs a new gig since he was one of the directors. Anyone have some work for him?
