Day 2

By Blondie @heyblondieblog

We woke up and had breakfast of french toast and bacon then headed out to church in Cedéno (about 11/2 hours away). We enjoyed a service in all Spanish which was beautiful.
There were a lot of children and we got to visit shortly afterwards. We handed out candy, balloons and small toys. Amazing to see how excited they got about what we consider everyday small objects.
After that we went to a local restaurant right on the Pacific ocean. Children were playing on the beach and the waves we crashing. We could see Nicaragua mountains and El Salvador. We had shrimp and fish (literal whole fried fish!) and fried plantains. Delicious! Wish I had more shrimp. There were small children maybe ages 3-8 selling jewelry and coconuts.
After lunch it was back to the ranch and we enjoyed getting to change a tire on the way. Thankful to the Honduran guy at the gas station who noticed the bulge in our tire.
Dagwood and I hiked a short distance to Pride Rock which is a cliff here on the ranch which has an awesome view.
Dinner was steak, chips and salsa, rice and macaroni salad.
Then we welcomed 20 more from our church just getting in.
Bed later about 10 since it was a more relaxing day.
Tomorrow is up and at breakfast by 6 so we can leave for school shoe and t-shirt distribution by 6:30. Looking forward to it.
Can't load pics bc it takes up too much internet so be ready for photo dump when I get back!
