David Tennant Cast as Villain in Marvel’s Netflix Series A.K.A. JESSICA JONES

The Tenth Doctor is set to play Kilgrave, also known as the Purple Man in the upcoming Marvel Netflix series

It’s happening!!  David Tennant is going to become a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!!  Marvel has announced that the former Doctor has been cast as Kilgrave in their upcoming series on Netflix; A.K.A. Jessica Jones.  Tennant is joining the cast of Krysten Rigger as Jessica Jones and Mike Colter as Luke Cage.

Marvel describes the character of Kilgrave as “an enigmatic figure from Jessica’s past, Kilgrave’s reappearance will send shockwaves through the former super hero’s world.”

Fans of the Jessica Jones series Alias from a few years back will recognize the name Kilgrave, as Zebediah Killgrave, aka the Purple Man, who was featured.  Funny enough, Alias is what the show is based off of!  (Crazy, I know!)  Zebediah Killgrave, who has the power to influence people to do his bidding, was created back in 1964 by Stan Lee and Joe Orlando in Daredevil #4.
