Curved Screen Smartphones Are Here: Samsung Galaxy Round and LG G Flex

What used to be a part of our imagination has finally become a reality. Mobile phones with curved screens are about to conquer the market!

The trends in mobile industry are constantly changing, and one of them at the moment is the innovative curved screen. These smartphones will completely change the way we use mobile phones, thanks to the advanced curved screen technologies. As expected from the leading innovator in mobile industry, Samsung has already proposed its version of this phone, named Galaxy Round and now LG has announced its first curved screen model- G Flex.

This curved phone from Samsung is has a screen of 5.7 inches and it weighs 154 g. It’s powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU and it runs on Android OS (version 4.3), offering 3072 MB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The rear camera features 13 and the front is 2 mega-pixels, while the battery features  2800 mAh.  The main characteristic of the curved screen Galaxy Round are the functions activated by simple maneuvers on the side edges of the screen. For instance, the Roll Effect will allow you to check the notifications by a single tilt of the device. Bounce UX effect allows the users to control their music as well: Press the device to the left and the player will switch to the previous track; press it to the right, it will play the next song from your playlist. These are just some of the novelties brought by Samsung’s first curved screen smartphone that will certainly simplify the way you use your phone.

LG G Flex

LG is surely the biggest competition to Samsung when it comes to the innovative screen technologies. This time LG announced the G Flex, a 6-inch curved screen phone which specifications are similar to those of the LG G2. It will be equipped with a quad core 2.26 GHz processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, 3,500 battery and 13 mega-pixel rear camera. All of these features will be supported by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Although Samsung has already announced their Galaxy Round, LG plans to unveil their curved screen device in November. However, the price and availability of both smartphones still remains unknown. Hopefully, we will have some more information about these revolutionary devices soon.
