And nothing says sweat and beer soaked quite like our buddies Criminal Hygiene. “The Raid”, off their split 7′ with DC’s Dagos, fittingly released on Summer Bummer Records, is the perfect mix of sun-soaked LA guitar tones and “woohoos” that still hangs on to the rambling, messiness that made us fall for Criminal Hygiene in the first place. Like an early Weezer single with a little more “fuck it, lets drink” and a little less “I hate myself” — oh, and a really badass scream at the end.
