Creation: The Majestic Friesian “war Horse”

Friesian horse

The majestic Friesian Horse originated in Friesland, in the Netherlands.

It is believed that in the days of knights and armor during the Middle Ages, Friesian horses were “war horses” throughout continental Europe. As armor got heavier, bigger horses were needed and the Friesian almost became extinct.

But Friesian horses are back and are one of the most beautiful horses in stature and gait, with the longest manes and tails. When they trot on grass, their hoofs do not kick up a divot because they land flat-footed.

The Friesian’s temperament is considered willing, active, and energetic, but also gentle and docile. Friesians have great presence and carry themselves with elegance.

What gorgeous animals! Just watching them is an emotional experience. Can you imagine what it would be like to ride one?

I recommend you turn your sound on and watch this in full-screen mode!
