For those of you unfamiliar with the beauty brand Crabtree & Evelyn, they are a British brand famous for their use of natural ingredients & fruit, flower and plant essences – they have also become synonymous with beautifully packaged goods. Starting out with gourmet soaps the Crabtree & Evelyn product range now comprises of fragrances, bath and shower gels, home spa products, body lotions, hand creams and home fragrances.
And happy days, they are launching in Ireland in Arnotts so we Irish gals & guys can get out hands on it easily. I was kindly invited along to the launch event and when we arrived to Clodagh’s Kitchen (which is a gorgeous café to visit, perfect for a chat and people watching if you haven’t been there before!) we were treated to pink pomegranate cocktails, yummy baked treats including a lavender-infused shortbread and DELICIOUS lemon curd and soothing hand treatments.
The 60 Second Fix Hand Kit treatments includes a scrub that gave immediate results and left my hands visibly smoother and super soft. It works on cuticles & dry skin patches too by removing the layer of dead skin on top & leaving you with the smooth new layer underneath. You follow that up with the super-rich & creamy hand lotion to lock in the moisture and leave your hands soothed and smelling YUMMY. This would be an ideal Christmas present and it comes in a few different scents – Rosewater is my favorite. Best part is it only takes a minute to get the spa-treatment experience.
There was so many products that I really enjoyed testing out, but a few stood out and made their way onto my Christmas wish list:
- The Venetian Violet Flower Water (€69.95 for 100ml) immediately the bottle caught my eye, it’s just so beautiful and vintage. Then the scent made me think of one of my favorite childhood sweets Parma Violets, but more sophisticated. I’d love to receive this as a present on the 25th… hint hint.
- The 60 Second Fix Kit hand treatment, I really loved the effect the scrub had on my hands and my hands felt soft and lovely for the rest of the evening so this gets all the gold stars in my book. It will set you back €32.50 for the full size or €15 for the mini kit!
- The Big Top Twelve Hand Therapy Musical Tin… what isn’t there to love. Twelve hand therapy lotions in a gorgeous carousel themed tin that doubles as a music box. It would have your hands soft all year around, and when it’s empty you can use it to store even more beauty products. A really lovely idea that most ladies would be happy to receive as a gift. It costs €60 for the twelve tin but there’s also a tin of six for €35.
I’m definitely now a fan of Crabtree & Evelyn goodies, and I’ll have a review up of the goodie bag I received once I’ve put them through their paces.
