Cost Of Health Care

Posted on the 06 December 2012 by Jobsanger
Cost Of Health Care Obamacare improved and extended health insurance coverage in this country. But there is one thing it did not do, and that was one of the most important things that needed to be done. It did not lower the cost of health care in the United States. And as the graphic above shows, people in the United States pay more for their health care (and their drugs) than people in other developed nations. But then most of those countries have single-payer health insurance, or at least let the government negotiate prices with health care providers (and drug companies) -- and the health care providers in those countries don't have to fight constantly with a multitude of private insurance companies to get paid for their services (or have to worry about whether those services are even covered by insurance).
Obamacare did some good things, but it did not fix our broken health care system. How long is it going to take Congress to finish the job?
