For years I’ve always said that Copa Libertadores is the most exciting tournament in the world. The emotion and passion in this tournament is very hard to surpass.
Champions League might have the stars, but it does not have the other essentials that the Copa Lib has.
If the tournament can be encapsulated in a nutshell, it could be seen in the final minutes at the Engenhão in Rio. Flamengo had just defeated Lanús in convincing fashion but they depended on what was going on at the Defensores del Chaco in Asunción between Olimpia and Emelec.
