Some of my favorite places to stay in London
From the cool and quirky stalls of Portobello in Notting Hill to the golden mile of tailoring at Savile Row, the endless choice of bars and restaurants to the fantastic city tours, London is a fantastic place not only for holiday makers but for lovely Brits too.
It’s a fabulous city break for a big group of friends and it can be a romantic location for couples. If you are looking for cool places to stay in London, check out my faves! ♥
Here are some really cool places to stay in London so make sure you check them out before you book!
Spa Hotels for a Girly Weekend
I’ve never been much of a spa lover but my girly friends love it – and I have to admit – it’s nice to relax every once in a while. If like me, you’re more interested in where the beers are kept and where you can dance the night away, I recommend finding a spa hotel in the Soho area. There are some beautiful Soho hotels – and restaurants, bars and pubs will all be just a stone’s throw away after your day of pampering!

Holiday Rentals for Luxury in London
I’ve always loved hotel rentals, cottages and self catering apartments. It’s really romantic (*blush*) and it gives you the privacy you would never get in a hotel. Now I bet you didn’t know that you can stay in a luxury home and live like a Queen (or King) for a weekend? I recently found a company called Onefinestay, offering short term vacation rentals in upscale London homes when the owners are away. So poor peeps get to taste the luxury lifestyle and rich rollers get to make a few quid; it’s a win win situation.
Budget Bed & Breakfast Break
Now I never said that London was a cheap place to spend the weekend. Prices are higher than most areas in the UK and you’ll be splashing out even for little things like coffee and cake. But if you want to save a few pennies and keep the bank manager happy, make sure you check out London’s B&Bs.
If you don’t know where to start your search, use B&B listing sites such as budgetplaces.com. You can browse through a whole heap of options according to your budget and desired dates of travel.
While the capital is known for its fast-moving, fast-talking city slickers, B&B owners make it their lives’ work to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay. So what are you waiting for? Start your search now!
I hope you find some really cool places to stay in London! Let me know where you go and what you get up to!
