So says the Venezuelan's Prisons Minister Iris Varela on her Twitter account, in response to the recent revelations about U.S. surveillance programs from NSA Leaker Edward Snowden, who has provided documentation to news outlets proving the extent of spying the Obama administration has been doing, domestically and internationally. (Via Reuters)
Her exact Tweet is "Compatriotas: cancelen sus cuentas en facebook ya que sin saberlo han trabajado gratis como informantes de la CIA! Revisen caso Snowden!"
It translates to "Comrades: cancel your Facebook accounts, you've been working for free as CIA informants. Review the Snowden case!"
'Comrades: Cancel your Facebook accounts, you've been working for free as CIA informants'
She continues with "Countries and people that have fallen victim to gringo spying should sue the United States to ensure fair compensation. We're going to bankrupt the U.S. economy!"
Conspiracy theories are running rampant and considering how many waved away the previous conspiracy talk, such as "big brother is watching you," just to find out ...well, yes, big brother is watching you, these recent theories are being given more airtime, more ink and more credence.
Another example was how many labeled Tea party members as paranoid when they claimed for three years the IRS was targeting them, just find out, via an apology from IRS officials, that again, yes, the  IRS was targeting Tea Party, Patriot and 9/12 groups as well as many other conservative type organizations.
No doubt Ms. Varela will have many people thinking twice about who is watching them, via Facebook.
