A Good eye makeup needs a good applicator. To achieve a distinctive eye look the first and foremost task is to apply an eyeshadow in most intense form so that in the later stages of blending it can maintain its original tint and finish. This is where the flat eyeshadow brushes come handy. Today I will review a shader brush called Eyelluring Eyeshadow Brush from the American brand Colorbar. This brush is available in a single pack and also within an eye brush kit. I got this brush in the 'READY TO WINK' brush kit along with two other brushes. How to Use: Rub the bristles of the eye brush in the eyeshadow pot or pan with light hands to take out eye colour. Pat the shadow to your primed eye lids for intense colour. Use swiping motion for blending out the colour to your lid.
How to Cleanse: Mix mild shampoo together with 2-3 drops of baby oil (optional) and water. Cleanse the brush with this concoction and wash with plain water. Remove the excess water gently. Hang it to dry properly keep the original shape of the bristles intact.
MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT
Packaging/Availability: This eyeshadow brush comes in a black plastic pouch like all other makeup tools from this company. The front side of the pouch is see-through and the back side is opaque. All the important information regarding the product is mentioned in the back of the packaging. The handle of the brush is made up of white colored hard plastic and the bristle holder is metallic. Overall it is an attractive looking synthetic fiber makeup brush which is sturdy and travel-friendly as well. This product is available majorly in Colorbar counters of makeup shops all over the country. It is also available online.
Bristle Texture: The bristles of this brush are bright red in color. Although it is made up of synthetic fiber; the texture is quite smooth and soft. The ends of bristles are tapered. This particular detail ensures better blending of the shadow in the eye.
Suitability: The colorbar brush can be used for powder and cream eyeshadow. Eye pigments and glitters can also be applied with this brush.
Effectiveness: I am quite new to eye makeup and this one was my first eye makeup brush. I have used the colorbar brush for applying powder eyeshadows. This one picks the colour without making scratch marks in the shadow pan. With this brush, product wastage is less as it deposits greater part of the colour that has been taken out from the pan. It distributes the eyeshadow in my lids evenly. When I want an intense colour at one or two swipe I wet the brush with rose water slightly before taking out the product on it. Fall out issue is also less as the powder eyeshadows somehow like to cling to the bristles. When I am in hurry I blend eyeshadows with this brush. It tapered edges helps the eyeshadow to blend nicely. I have washed the brush couple of time but there was almost no bristle shedding.
The only con I found were colour bleeding. The red colour of the bristles oozed when I washed it for the first time. After that, I have not faced this problem again.
RATING: 4.5/5I will recommend this eyeshadow brush to someone who wants a good quality flat shader brush to apply the eyeshadow to the eyelid. It is an excellent eye brush for both dry and wet application.
