Coconut Ladoo (Ladva)

Yes another Diwali Sweet recipe with a twist!

Coconut ladoo or what us gujarati call ladva are sweet rich sweet dessert snack.

This is a pretty quick recipe took only 15-20 minutes to make.

These are like a indian version of a bounty bar.

You can make lots of deviation of ladoo, with gram flour (Besam), almond, pistachio,etc.

Ladoo may come from the Sanskrit word transliterated as ladduka or lattika meaning a small ball

Ingredients:
1/2 Can Condensed Milk
75g desiccated coconut+ extra for rolling
20g chopped cashews
Pinch of cardamom
Pinch of Nutmeg
1 Tsp Ghee
100g White Chocolate

Toast the cashews in ghee until slightly golden brown and put to the side.

In the same ghee pan add the condensed milk and desiccated coconut.

Stir in the coconut and add a pinch of cardamom and nutmeg.

Continue to stir and the mixture will start to thicken.

Once it turns into dough turn off the heat.

Add the toasted cashews to the dough and try to mix in

Place the dough on to a grease surface and allow to cool until you can handle with your hands approximately 8 minutes.

Grease your hands with a little ghee and knead briefly.

Take small amount and roll into a small ball and place on to a greased plate.

Allow all the coconut ladoos to cool.

Melt the white chocolate and coat the coconut ladoo with white chocolate.

Roll into desiccated coconut

Ensure all covered.

Allow to set for a few hours.
