Clinton 21 Points Ahead Of Sanders In Latest National Poll
These are the results of the new Pew Research Center survey on the presidential race. It was done between September 22nd and 27th of a random national sample of 456 Democrats and 421 Republicans. The margin of error for Democrats is 5.3 points, and for Republicans is 5.5 points.
The survey has Hillary Clinton leading Bernie Sanders by 21 points overall. And perhaps most important, it really wouldn't matter much which demographic groups voted in the largest numbers -- because Clinton leads Sanders in all the groups. Sanders comes the closest among liberals (where he trails by 13 points), among Whites (where he trails by 8 points), and those under age 50 (where he trails by 6 points).
The chart for the Republicans is below, and it shows Trump (25%) and Carson (16%) leading the field. Fiorina and Rubio are tied for third with 8%. Bush is doing very poorly with only 4% (and I'm starting to believe he is no longer a contender.
